Amazing Main Street Challenge

Grab a teammate and race through Downtown Rochester solving riddles, completing puzzles, and tackling fun challenges at local businesses. Teams of two will compete to become the first to cross the finish line and claim the Amazing Main Street Challenge championship!

Inspired by competition shows like The Amazing Race and Survivor, this family-friendly event combines problem-solving, teamwork, and light physical challenges into one downtown adventure.

The competition is recommended for ages 13 and older.

What to Expect

Teams will travel approximately one to two miles on foot throughout downtown. There will be no strenuous physical activity, but participants should be comfortable walking between challenge locations.

Challenges may include:

• Riddles and puzzles
• Teamwork challenges
• Games and light physical activities
• Stops at participating downtown businesses
• A race to the final checkpoint

Registration

Registration is $50 per team of two and includes:

• An official Amazing Main Street Challenge T-shirt for each participant
• One $25 gift card for the team to enjoy lunch at the downtown eatery of its choice
• Entry into the full downtown competition
• The opportunity to compete for prizes and the championship trophy

Only one registration is needed for each team of two.

Important Event Details

The event will be filmed and edited for public viewing after the competition. By registering, participants acknowledge that they may appear in event photos and video.

Complete instructions, event rules, and starting information will be emailed to registered teams before the event.

This event will take place rain or shine.

Volunteer at the Amazing Main Street Challenge

Help us bring the competition to life by volunteering at one of the challenge locations!

Volunteers will:

• Record teams completing challenges using their personal phone or device
• Supervise each challenge and make sure the rules are followed
• Score teams and assign points based on the challenge instructions
• Send all recorded footage to Rochester Main Street after the event

Volunteers should be comfortable using their personal device to record video and submitting the footage afterward for use in the completed event feature and promotional materials.
