What is Rochester Main Street?
Rochester Main Street is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing downtown Rochester, New Hampshire through community events, beautification, historic preservation, grants, and small business support. It is a member of the national Main Street America network.

Is Rochester Main Street part of the City of Rochester?
No - we are an independent nonprofit governed by a volunteer board, though we partner closely with the City of Rochester on projects like Edison lighting, public art, and downtown improvements.

When is PorchFest 2026 in Rochester NH?
PorchFest is Sunday, September 27, 2026 - a free outdoor music festival with more than 30 bands on stages throughout downtown Rochester, produced by Rochester Performance & Arts Center.
When is the Bigfoot Scavenger Hunt?
The Bigfoot Scavenger Hunt runs all summer, June 26 through August 31, 2026. Find the hidden cutouts downtown, complete their challenges, and email photos to enter free raffles.
Are Rochester Main Street events free?
Almost all of them - PorchFest, the Bigfoot Scavenger Hunt, Kids Summer Series, Spooktacular, Zombie Walk, Downtown Trick-or-Treat, and more are free. Fundraisers like Guilty of Giving and Festival of Trees raffles have optional paid elements that support downtown work.

Most events center on Central Square and North Main Street, spreading through the downtown district. Each event page on this site lists the exact location, route, and parking notes where relevant.

How much does it cost to sponsor a Rochester Main Street event?
Sponsorships start at just $75 for a Bigfoot challenge and run up to $2,500 for the Bedrock+ Contributing Partner tier. Custom packages and in-kind arrangements are always available.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes - Rochester Main Street is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
