Downtown Rochester Pub Crawl returns to downtown Rochester each August. 2026 dates will be announced soon. Last held August 16, 2025.
The Downtown Rochester Pub Crawl is a Rochester Main Street event that sends participants on a walking route through downtown Rochester's independent bars, taprooms, and cocktail lounges in a single evening. It has run as a summer event. The next crawl has not been scheduled.

What the pub crawl is
Downtown Rochester’s bars sit within a few walkable blocks of Central Square, which is what makes a crawl work here. Rochester Main Street sets a route and participants move between venues through the evening. It has previously run under the name Summer Retro Pub Crawl, organized by the Promotion Committee.
Where downtown drinking happens
Downtown’s food and drink scene has grown quickly. Revolution Taproom & Grill anchors Factory Court — a former alley Rochester Main Street volunteers converted into a pedestrian walkway, now one of downtown’s best summer patios. The Scenic Lounge on North Main Street serves craft cocktails and an elevated dinner menu in a 1920s-styled room. Lilac Club Casino runs charitable gaming nights whose proceeds support local nonprofits, Rochester Main Street among them.
Those venues are walkable from one another and from the free municipal lots, which is the whole premise of the crawl.

The route runs through downtown Rochester's independent bars and taprooms, all within walking distance of Central Square - venues such as Revolution Taproom & Grill on Factory Court and The Scenic Lounge on North Main Street. The full stop list is published with each year's route.
Where do I park for a downtown pub crawl?
Parking is free in all City of Rochester municipal lots, which hold roughly 550 spaces downtown. The Union Street and 60 Wakefield Street lots are both a short walk from Central Square. Because this is an evening drinking event, plan a ride home.
How do I get my bar on the route?
Downtown businesses that want to be a stop can contact Rochester Main Street through the contact page. The crawl is organized by the Promotion Committee.

Rochester Cares Community Cleanup
Rochester Cares is our annual spring cleanup on April 18, 2026. Volunteers gather downtown for coffee and donuts, then spread mulch, rake, and clear debris to get downtown Rochester ready for summer - followed by a thank-you meal from local restaurants.
