Clean-ups

Rochester Cares, our annual community cleanup, brings volunteers together each spring to get downtown ready for the summer season. Volunteers arrive early for coffee and donuts, then head out with gloves, rakes, and shovels to spread mulch delivered by the Department of Public Works, clear litter, and tackle projects throughout downtown. Afterward, local restaurants provide food as a thank-you.

Smaller volunteer litter sweeps continue throughout the year, so there’s always a chance to pitch in.
